Rural Wisconsin. February. A young woman named Percy Talbott gazes out the window of her prison cell. She’s about to be released. In her pocket is a photograph clipped from a travel book. The caption reads, “Autumn colors along Copper Creek near Gilead, Wisconsin”. Follow Percy, and Gilead, into journey of self-knowledge and renewal.

NATALIE NEWMAN (Percy) feels fortunate to return to this stage in yet another dream role, and is equally excited to be able to relax into her natural Southern accent! Although a current resident of NYC, Natalie loves returning to her homes states VA and NC for brewed sweet tea and real BBQ. Audiences may remember her from MMT's recent production of Into the Woods as Cinderella. Other favorite roles include: Roxie Hart (Chicago), Charlotte (A Little Night Music), and Hedy LaRue (How to Succeed...). Natalie holds a BFA in Music Theatre and a BA in Dance from Elon University and is a proud member of Actors' Equity. Psalm 23.

Anna Lise Jensen (Shelby) is delighted to be playing Shelby again after premiering the role in Memphis, TN as well as in Jackson, MS. A native of Minnesota and Davidson College alumna, Anna Lise currently resides in New York City. Favorite roles include: Sharon Graham (Master Class), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Marta (Company), The Angel (Angels in America) and Elizabeth (Laundry and Bourbon). Billy Clark Taylor (Caleb) is thrilled to return to the MMT stage where he last appeared as Pete in the cast of Summer of ’42. In NYC, Billy has performed with several theatre groups including Musicals Tonight, Inside Broadway and Emerging Artists Theatre. Most recently, Billy appeared as Williamson in the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) cast of The Hatpin. Favorite credits include Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden (ACT), Frankie in Forever Plaid (Bristol Riverside), and Charlie Brown in both You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Seaside Music Theatre) and Snoopy!!! (Peanut’s 50th Anniversary Tour). Billy is a proud member of Actor’s Equity.
Casey Gensler (Joe) was last seen performing at Mill Mountain Theatre in the musical 42nd Street and is thrilled to be back. He has performed regionally in Hair, Altar Boyz, The Fantasticks and Funny…Forum, to name a few, and has also performed in the national touring companies of Pump Boys & Dinettes and Kiss Me Kate, which came to the Roanoke Civic Center in 2004.

Anne Karner (Effy) is thrilled to be a part of The Spitfire Grill! Originally from North Carolina, she has appeared as the late, great, country singer Patsy Cline, in numerous productions of Always...Patsy Cline. She has also performed in the national tour of The Full Monty. Other favorite roles include Rhetta (Pumpboys and Dinettes), Lucy (Jekyll and Hyde), and Rizzo (Grease). She is a proud member of Actors Equity and now resides in New York City.
Dwayne Yancey (The Visitor) was last seen -- but not heard -- on the Mill Mountain stage as one of the "townspeople" in The Foreigner. By day, he is a senior editor with The Roanoke Times. On the side, he writes plays. He's had work produced in 38 states and four foreign countries. You can seen his work on Friday nights at No Shame Theatre on the Waldron Stage. He lives in Fincastle with his wife and two children.
