The Little Mermaid Jr. – Production Camp
Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. is a lively musical adaptation of the beloved Disney animated film, tailored for young performers and audiences. Dive under the sea with Ariel, a curious young mermaid who longs to explore the human world above. Defying her father, King Triton, and making a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, Ariel embarks on an adventure to discover love and her true voice. Featuring classic songs like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl,” this enchanting show celebrates the importance of following your dreams, bravery, and the power of true love.
For the first time ever your child can dive into the exciting world of Mill Mountain Theatre’s Summer Production Camps! In these camps, every student who registers will be given a role in a full-scale production, regardless of experience. Here’s how it works:
- PART 1: Auditions & Casting
On the first day, students will participate in auditions where they’ll have the chance to showcase their talents. From there, they’ll be cast in a role that’s best suited to their skills and interests. - PART 2: Learning & Rehearsing
The remainder of the camp will be dedicated to bringing the production to life. Students will work together to learn the music, choreography, and blocking that make up the show. With guidance from our experienced instructors, they’ll rehearse scenes, songs, and dances, building teamwork and confidence along the way. - PART 3: Fully Staged Performances
The camp will culminate in two public performances—complete with costumes, a professional set, lighting, and sound—that friends and family can attend to see students showcase everything they’ve learned in front of a live audience! All registered students will receive 2 reserved seats for a performance of their choosing. Additional seats can be reserved by making a donation in advance online or at the door.
This is an amazing opportunity for your performers to gain hands-on experience in every aspect of theater production, from auditioning to taking their final bow. Whether your child is new to theater or has experience, they’ll have a blast being part of a real, professional-level production.
