Get a behind the scenes look at costumes from MMT’s production of Nemo and learn basic hand sewing skills and the fun of sewing while creating your very own plushy. Students will make a sock-topus (sock octopus) by hand with written directions and step by step demonstrations. Skills that will be taught-how to sew on a button, whip, and slip stitches, as well as the tailor’s knot. Each student will receive a sock octopus kit with printed directions, all the supplies needed for the class, and will get to take their finished product home with them.
