Mill Mountain Theatre is excited to finally unveil its upcoming holiday show today: The Sound of Music running December 4 – 22 on the Trinkle MainStage. Due to licensing, Mill Mountain had to withhold this title when the 2019 season was revealed back in September of 2018. The classic returns to the Trinkle MainStage, full of national talent and local favorites like Roanoke native Emma Gwin starring as Maria.
The hills are alive in the Roanoke Valley this holiday season with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound Of Music, best known for its film adaptation starring Julie Andrews as the high-spirited governess Fraulein Maria. This 1959 classic has songs like “Climb Ev’ry Mountain”, “Do-Re-Mi’, and “The Sound of Music”, perfect for the whole family during the holidays. Share this heartwarming story with a cast that mixes national talent with your local favorites in Roanoke’s most beloved musical: The Sound of Music.
To celebrate the special announcement, MMT is doing a special 12-HOUR TICKET FLASH. On May 7th from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm patrons can purchase an adult ticket for $25 for the first week of performances (December 4 – 8). Up to 4 tickets may be purchased with this deal. Time is limited- purchase your tickets now at millmountain.org or call 540-342-5740.
