Waitress, The Musical

Waitress, The Musical is based on the 2007 film of the same name, with a book by Jessie Nelson and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. The musical follows Jenna Hunterson, a waitress and expert pie maker at Joe’s Diner, who finds herself in an unfulfilling marriage to her controlling husband, Earl. When Jenna discovers she’s pregnant, she begins to re-evaluate her life and dreams of escape. Encouraged by her quirky fellow waitresses, Dawn and Becky, and supported by an unexpected romantic connection with her gynecologist, Dr. Pomatter, Jenna starts to find her way to a new beginning. The show is celebrated for its emotional depth, witty dialogue, and catchy, soulful songs that explore themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery.

This production contains themes and/or depictions of pregnancy, childbirth, abuse, sexism and sexual situations, and is recommended for mature audiences.

Peter and the Star Catcher is a whimsical prequel to the beloved story of Peter Pan, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The play follows a young orphan and his companions as they embark on a high-seas adventure, where they meet Molly, a star catcher-in-training, who is on a mission to protect a magical substance called “starstuff.” With imaginative storytelling, clever humor, and an ensemble cast playing multiple roles, this play reveals the origins of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Neverland, capturing the magic of childhood wonder and the power of believing in the impossible.

All public performances are PWYC (Pay What You Can). This year there will also be the option to pay a donation to reserve seats in advance. There will only be 50 seats to RSVP at each performance. 

The Rainbow Fish, The Musical

The Rainbow Fish, The Musical is a delightful stage adaptation of the beloved children’s book by Marcus Pfister. The story follows the most beautiful fish in the ocean, known for his shimmering scales, as he learns about sharing and the true meaning of happiness. When the Rainbow Fish initially refuses to share his special scales, he finds himself lonely and isolated. Guided by the wise octopus, he discovers that generosity and friendship bring greater joy than possessing beauty alone. Filled with vibrant characters, colorful visuals, and a heartwarming message, this play captures the magic of kindness and the joy of giving.

Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, The Musical

Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, The Musical! is based on the Caldecott Honor Award-winning book by Mo Willems and is about a pigeon who wants to drive the bus. The pigeon is struggling to find his place in the world until he sees the bus driver and decides he wants to be like her. When the bus driver has a crisis and her passengers are in danger of being late, the pigeon sees his chance to take the wheel. The pigeon uses a variety of tactics to get the bus driver to let him drive, including asking, pleading, cajoling, and even emotional blackmail. However, the bus driver and the audience keep telling him “no”. When the bus breaks down, the pigeon is called to help and flies from bus stop to bus stop to tell people the bus is coming.
